I mean, kids today have such a hard time being young. Boring! I did it because I actually thought they were cool. Do they shock a lot of people?Ī: I can't believe people think it's like some big taboo. Now I'm taking roles where the characters are interesting to me. And the truth is, people aren't going to line up to see me as the girl next door because they saw it on TV for 10 years. I've been working for 15 years, and I wasn't being offered any features. Are you trying to shed a girl-next-door image?Ī: You know, I kind of took the roles that came along, and I wasn't really thinking about what effect it would have on my image.
